Have you considered serving as a
short-term missionary?

No, not in a foreign country, but right here in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

prayerStreamside Camp is looking for committed Christian men and women who want to share their interests, abilities and faith in Jesus Christ with urban children, teens and families. Our primary goal is to present to our campers the Good News of Jesus Christ and to disciple them as they grow in their relationship with Him.

Much of this process takes place informally as the campers are involved in various activities around camp such as archery, swimming, fishing, backpacking, meals, games and Bible class … to name a few. Many of our campers (and some staff) experience these activities for the first time in their lives at camp. More importantly, many campers hear for the first time that God DOES love them, God DOES care for them, and He DOES have a life of meaning and purpose for them.

Streamside, however, is not just a place for campers. More often than not, the Lord allows Streamside to become a place of intense growth, fulfillment, and life-long friendships for staff as well. You will very likely meet and minister side by side with many other believers literally from across the globe.

Staff and Volunteer Positions at Streamside

archeryAs you may have noticed by viewing our web site, Streamside is a year-round ministry. There are a variety of opportunities available for you to serve.

Summer Camp

Our summer staff typically arrive the second week of June and leave the end of July. Staff receive ten days of leadership training, compensation, room and board, special outings, an invaluable missionary experience that you will not forget!

Can’t serve the whole summer? Consider volunteering for one or two weeks.

Winter Blast! Weekend Camps

Volunteer for either or both of our exciting winter camps. This is a great way to “test the waters” and see if God is calling you to the ministry of Streamside. We are not able to pay for your service; however, the weekends are completely free to volunteers.

Volunteer and Part-Time Work

Would you like to serve at Streamside, but do not have much vacation time from your job. Or, maybe you’re local to Streamside and are available to help throughout the year. Check our homepage under “Upcoming Events” for areas of ministry for volunteering.

Experience is helpful, but not mandatory. What IS necessary is a dynamic relationship with the Lord Jesus, a love for kids, a desire to learn, grow, and do things you never did before, and a willingness to work for God's glory.
