Streamside Labor Day Weekend Retreat

The Labor Day Retreat at Streamside Camp and Conference Center in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania is a wonderful way for adults to be refreshed in their spirit, as well as fellowship and have a good time with others.

The full retreat will include eight appetizing meals and access to all our offered activities, such as: swimming, boating, basketball, hayride, and many other enjoyable indoor and outdoor games; wonderful music; insightful seminars; and life-changing messages from God’s Word.

Highlights from the 2011 Labor Day Weekend Retreat

During our Labor Day Weekend Adult Retreat, we renamed our lounge in honor of Ed & Ellen Carwheel, who have been missionaries with BCM in Philadelphia since 1980. They exemplify the passion that many others in Philadelphia share to make it possible for children and teens to experience Streamside Camp. Over the years they, along with others, have done the difficult leg work of meeting children, getting paperwork from parents, raising money, providing transportation, hosting our counselors and organizing the chaos at the bus depot for children coming to Streamside. We chose the Labor Day Retreat venue to honor them, because the annual retreat was the result of their vision and efforts to utilize Streamside to reach adults. Our desire is to continue this retreat as an avenue to develop churches both in Philadelphia and here in the Poconos.
