Core Staff

Program Director

Qualifications:

Significant training or experience in camping to assist in planning program, training staff, supervising staff, and directing activities at camp.
Must possess leadership qualities.
Must have sufficient Biblical counseling training and experience to offer assistance to counseling staff, and to counsel campers.
Must have satisfactorily completed the camp staff application

Responsibilities:

To plan and develop camp program in consultation with the Camp Director prior to the camping season.
To assist the Camp Director in planning the pre-camp training program, and training the staff during the pre-camp program.
Assign, in consultation with the Camp Director, program staff to activity areas.
To oversee the co-ordination of the daily and period schedule.
To supervise the morning activity periods, offering aid and instruction to the activity leaders, and to report to the camp director the quality and effectiveness of the activity program.
To encourage advance planning by the counseling staff for CC action time. Also involves daily follow-up on these activities.
To organize leadership for the evening activity.
To give written evaluation at the end of the season of the activity program of the camp, and the program staff.
Participate in the A.M. Staff Prayer & Praise time.


Activities Coordinator

Qualifications:

Significant training or experience in camping to assist the program director in planning activities.
Must possess leadership qualities.
Must have satisfactorily completed the camp staff application.

Responsibilities:

To assist the program director.
To co-ordinate the morning activity schedule.
To assist the program director in planning evening activities and special days.
To help supervise the morning activity periods, offering aid and instruction to the activity leaders, and to report to the program director the quality and effectiveness of the activity program.
To be in charge of the PSO and head up the CC action time requisitions.
Participate in the A.M. Staff Prayer & Praise time.


Head Counselors

Qualifications:

At least 25 years of age, or must have had sufficient experience or training to assume the responsibility.
Must, through training or experience, be able to understand and relate to children and adults.
Must have satisfactorily completed the camp staff application

Responsibilities:

To advise and direct Cabin Counselors in counseling responsibilities.
To personally counsel campers when necessary or desirable.
To be available for consultation with Cabin Counselors and other staff members.
To help formulate the enforce rules necessary for healthy and happy community living.
To make recommendations to the Camp Director and/or the Program Director when it may be necessary to dismiss a camper or staff member.
To be responsible for the split prayer meetings.
To co-ordinate and evaluate the spiritual and social emphasis of the program.
Participate in the A.M. Staff Prayer & Praise time.


Bible Instructors

Qualifications:

At least 25 years of age or must have had sufficient experience or training to assume the responsibility.
Should possess leadership qualities with an ability to effectively communicate solid Biblical teaching to campers.
Must have satisfactorily completed the camp staff application

Responsibilities:

Be a spiritual leader and example at camp.
Prior to precamp, determine a Bible Theme for the summer and establish a daily Bible lesson (including verse) for each day of the encampment.
Assist the camp director co-ordinating special speakers and missionaries to speak during vespers.
Arrange daily vesper schedules (leaders, speakers, musicians).
Co-ordinate the leader and musicians for pre-camp and break-weekend Sunday evenings.
Lead a session during precamp on the Bible Department's goals, purposes and methodology. Train the counselors on how to "Lead a Child to Christ."
Organize a songbook for the campers and organize song sheets and piano music.
Organize a morning-devotional booklet to be used during morning devotions by the campers.
Supervise a personal follow-up system for campers who made decisions (i.e. salvation, recommitment, assurance, etc.)
Participate in the A.M. Staff Prayer & Praise time.
