When a child returns home from camp, the Streamside experience has an impact on parents as well. Here is some of the feed back we received…
“Thank you for your quick response. My client participated in the summer camp last year, and he has talked about it (the swimming, his new “best friends” ever since). His sister is old enough this year and they are excited to be attending together. We are making a count-down to camp in our next session.” (Hannah Joyce, Therapist CCTC)
“I would like to thank you for giving my son the opportunity to attend Streamside camp as a camper and now as a SLT. He really enjoys it. We as parents really appreciate you all at Streamside!” (Parent of SLT camper)
“I had a long talk with my child about her behavior and together we are working together to change all negativity. We have read all behavior expectations and we are implementing them. Thanks for taking the time out to take care of my child and others. May God continue blessing you. My daughter enjoyed herself and look forward to coming back if she is allowed.” (Parent of child sent home for behavior)
Another parent indicated that her son came home and shared with her that he had trusted Christ as Savior while at camp. She also mentioned that he has been treating his brother much better.
One camper who trusted Christ as Savior during the week immediately told her mother that she also needed to know Christ and said “I will tell you more about it on the ride home.”
