On Wednesday, December 12, 2018 Streamside will be hosting the 26th annual Neighborhood Holiday Banquet.
This event began in 1992 as a way of saying “thank you” and “we’re sorry” to our immediate neighbors who have had to live near the traffic, noise and unusual activity that surrounds a camp and retreat center. Wandering hikers, lines of coach buses, worship bands with plenty of base, overnight snow making and bands marching down Possinger Dr. tend to interrupt the peaceful tranquility sought by those living in the Poconos. Over the years, however, we have found our neighbors to be very tolerant, encouraging and even grateful to be living near a ministry like Streamside. Our annual banquet has now become more of a reunion, a celebration, an update and a ministry outreach. Through this event, we have seen prayers answered, Bible studies begun, churches joined, employment secured, neighbors reunited and many encouraged and challenged. Our definition of “neighbor” has expanded as well. We continue to invite those living around us, but have expanded the invite to include vendors, ministry partners, donors and anyone who wants to be our neighbor.
You are invited to join our Streamside family at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 for a free, casual evening of food, fun and fellowship. Special guest will be Pastor JJ Meyer from Pocono Evangelical Free Church.
RSVP by Monday, December 10 to 570-629-1902.
